What setup gets you on day one

A bot with one clear task, not a blank chat box. Grok Bot's own docs say the best roles "own a repeatable outcome", so we start there.

  • A named bot with a written task and rules
  • Your apps connected through Grok Bot's connected apps or the Composio plugin
  • A skill that repeats the work the same way each time
  • A routine that runs it on your schedule, sized to your weekly usage
  • Approvals on anything that leaves the building
  • A test run together before you rely on it

How Grok Bot setup works, step by step

  1. Call. You tell me what eats your week. We pick the one task worth handing over first.
  2. Your plan. You start Grok Bot on your own account: The X Subscription Premium, Super or Ultra, or a Grok Business seat.
  3. Install and sign in. Grok Bot has a desktop app and a mobile app for iPhone and Android.
  4. Create the bot. I give it a name, a narrow task and rules for what it may do alone.
  5. Connect your apps. Connected apps where they exist. Computer use, where the bot works a website like a person, only where they don't.
  6. Teach the task. I demonstrate the work once and save it as a skill.
  7. Schedule it. A routine runs the skill each morning, each week or on a trigger.
  8. Test it. We read its first results together and fix anything off.

Can you set up Grok Bot yourself?

Yes. Steps 2 and 3 take minutes, and Grok Bot's docs walk you through them. Owners hire help for steps 4 to 8, the steps that take judgment.

  • A bot with a loose task gives loose results.
  • All of one person's bots share one cloud computer, its files and its logins, so a careless setup gives every bot access to everything.
  • A routine set to run hourly can use a week of usage in a day.

Common Grok Bot setup problems

ProblemWhat is going on
Stuck on "Creating Grok Bot's computer" or a white screenThe cloud computer for your account did not start. In a confirmed case Cursor's staff traced it to their own servers, so their support has to reset it.
Gmail or Google Calendar will not connectA company Google account can block the connection. Your admin has to allow it.
A site keeps logging the bot outSites can block automation or expire sessions. I switch to a connected app or hand that step back to you.
Usage runs out by WednesdayRoutines run too often. I resize them to your plan.

Setup or setup plus management?

Setup is one time. Tools change, logins expire and new jobs come up, so most owners add Grok Bot management at $299 a month. Rolling bots out across a whole company is a Grok Bot team rollout.

Grok Bot setup questions

How much does Grok Bot setup cost?

$749 per bot, one time. Your Grok Bot plan is separate, from $30 a month, and paid to SpaceXSI or Cursor.

What counts as one task?

One outcome the bot repeats, like "answer new leads and log them" or "send me a morning brief". Two closely related tasks fit in one setup.

Which Grok Bot plan should I buy?

Premium ($30 a month) includes Grok Bot with four times Plus usage. If you plan several routines a day, Super ($100) gives fifteen times. We size it on the call.

Do you use templates?

When a public template fits, I start from it. A template copies the recipe, not the original bot's logins or files, so it still needs your apps, rules and approvals.

Are you part of Grok or xAI?

No. I'm an independent consultant. Grok Bot Setup Pro is not affiliated with SpaceXSI, xAI, X or Cursor.
